Are your games free to use for me?

Yes, they are. You can grab any game you want with the respective Famobi embed-link. But unless you’re not a registered partner, you won’t be able to earn any money with the ads. And that’s why we highly recommend you to register and become part of the family, as is described below.

Can I use your HTML5 Games as Apps?

Generally we don't allow that our games are published in the App Stores such as Google Play or Apple's App Store for free. However you can visit our HTML5 Games Shop and contact our sales team, if you wish to publish one or more of our games as Apps.

How do I sign up as a Famobi Partner?

Now that’s the easiest thing in the world. Sign up at accounts.famobi.com/#/signup-as-partner for free and you will receive your very own Affiliate ID. It’s quicker than you can say “Wow, now I’m a Famobi Partner!”

Where are all the cool games?

Right here: games.famobi.com! Everybody can pick any game by just copying the “Link” URL onto their website. If you are a Partner (see above), you get your own personal link with your respective Affiliate ID and embed code for every game. That’s for the really cool people!

What is an Affiliate ID?

Your Affiliate ID is a unique URL and number assigned to you by signing up as a Famobi partner. It contains your username and personal data and is used to track all traffic which you create and send to us. Imagine it as your personal key to the awesome Famobi universe.

What is HTML5?

HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. Its core aim is to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and computers. See? HTML5 makes it easier for you to get our cross-platform games and easier for us to provide you with more famobilicous content.

I have signed up as a Famobi Partner - where do I find my Affiliate ID?

First of all: WELCOME TO THE TEAM! Now all you have to do is to log in at accounts.famobi.com and click on “Websites”. You'll find a list of all your websites and/or websites you have created with our CMS and their Affiliate IDs. Each website you've added to your Famobi account has its own Affiliate ID. We've automatically added an Affiliate ID for the website you've entered when you've signed up.

I can’t log in! I get a “Login failed, please check your credentials” message!

Have you tried to turn your computer off and on again? ;) In case that doesn’t work, you should try and set a new password.

(If that will not solve the problem, please call an Exorcist, because there seems to be some weird stuff going on in your computer! Alternatively, you can contact support@famobi.com)

How can I set a new password?

Passwords are the most misremembered thing in the world. (Followed by where you put your car keys and the birthday of your mother-in-law).

First of all you have to be logged out of your account. Then go to accounts.famobi.com/#/request-password-reset and enter the mail address you used when you signed up. After clicking on “Reset Password” you will receive a mail. Click on the link in that mail and then enter your new password.

How Do I earn money with Famobi?

We want you to have nice things, like cars and jewelry and stuff. So you need to earn money. Thank god it’s easy to do with your personal Affiliate ID. Sign up as Famobi Partner, receive your ID and use this personalized link to direct your users to it or embed it onto your website via iFrame. Works in your own website as well as in a portal created with our easy-to-use Famobi CMS.

How do I get my money from Revenue Share?

That's simple: just wait until you have earned minimum 250 Euro (Developers) or 500 Euro (Publishers). Then you can send us an invoice and we will pay you the money faster than you can say "Where's my mon...".
Paypal and bank transfer are our favorite things :)

If you don't earn that much within one month, Famobi will carry the balance due forward to the next payment period. In the future there will be a automated payment system.

How to navigate in Reportings?

Dashboard -> Reports -> Overview:
Estimated Revenues for the last and ongoing month. Here you see your own personal share of the generated revenue. For maximum transparency it’s divided into ingame (every advertisment that is shown related to the game) and onpage ads (every ad that is shown outside of a game in a website created with our CMS), aswell as the finalized revenues.

Dashboard -> Reports -> Publisher Reports:
Here you can find the options for InGame (how much money is earned via ads in game), OnPage (how much money is earned via ads on a website created with our CMS) and the InVideo features (available soon). Only publishers have access to this section of the reporting tool

Dashboard -> Reports -> Developer Reports:
Shows only game specific information (you can't see OnPage revenue info here). Developer deals can only be found here. Also you can find info about game plays per game and web portal here.

What are Performance Indicators?

Game Plays:
Shows how often a game has been played.

Ad Impressions (provided by Google):
Show how often a ad habe been displayed in a game.

CTR (Click-through rate, provided by Google):
Shows the percentage of ad impressions which are clicked by players.

ECPM (Effective Cost per mille, provided by Google):
Shows the average amount which is payed by the ad servers per 1000 ad impressions.

Dev Revenue:
This is the developer's share of the gross revenue (Developers receive their share prior to publishers).

Pub Revenue:
This is the publisher's share of the gross revenue.

RPMG (Revenue per mille Game Plays):
Shows the average amount earned with ads per 1000 game play. When logged in, this indicator is calculated from the publisher or developer revenue.

What is Grouping?

The grouping affects the Diagram and the Table. It determines how the performance indicators (e.g. Revenue, Game Plays...) are grouped. If you select "Website", you are going to see all of your different websites in the amazing Famobi network and their corresponding data. You can choose between the different grouping options at the top.

How does Filtering work?

Filtering affects the Diagram, the Total Box and Table, by giving you the oppertunity to filter the displayed dataset. Currently there are two types of filters: Category and Date. If you filter by a certain country, all data shown refers to the selected country.

What is shown in the Diagram?

The Diagram show data in context of time, grouped in two layers: The first layer can be found at the top in Grouping. The second layer can be selected at the very top right of the Diagram (Day, Week, Month). Attention: In contrast to the Table, the Diagram can only show one performance indicator (e.g. Ad Impressions) at a time. You can select and change the different indicators on the top left.
For a better visual understanding: Only the top five datasets of the selected group are shown. The remaining groups are summarized as "Others".

Use of the Total Box?

Regardless of the group you've selected, the Total Box always shows the sum of all datasets - depending on category or time filters.

What does the Table show?

Shows depending on the selected grouping all their corresponding performance indicator. Clicking on a header of a column sorts the indicators in ascending or descending order.

What are “Websites” in the dashboard? Do I need one?

There are two types of websites: those managed with our CMS and those without. Both types have an Affiliate ID, which is crucial for monetizing the content. Remember the words of the linguistically sophisticated songwriters of ABBA: “Money, Money, Money”.

If you don’t have your own website/domain we recommend to create a Famobi CMS website – we will host the website and you can manage all the content (games, pages, categories, even SEO) via the Famobi Content Management System. We will create a Famobi subdomain but you can also use your own domain.

If you already have a website and want to add our games to it, you'll just have to add a website without CMS. This way, we know where you’ll use our games.

How can I publish awesome games from the Famobi catalog?

As simple as it gets! You can use our Famobi CMS to create an awesome games portal or choose one of your already existing websites to embed our great games via your personal Affiliate ID. You can select as many amazing HTML5 games as you want from our catalog to match your personal taste. Just add them to your website and start earning money. Really simple, isn't it?

How can I use the Famobi Content Management System (CMS) for my existing website?

Go to your dashboard, click on “Websites”, click on “edit” and check the box “Enable Famobi CMS for this website”. Done! “That’s one small step for you, but one giant leap for your visitors.” (Neil Armstrong, when he saw our CMS).

Now you are able to change colours, upload a personal header logo, pick different categories, etc. Many opportunities with almost no effort.

How can I use my own domain (example.com) and subdomain (m.example.com) with a Famobi CMS website?

Alright, time for a little tech-talk.

Step #1: First you have to add your domain to the Famobi CMS website. Click on "Websites" in your Famobi dashboard and on "edit" for the CMS website you want to use your domain with. Scroll to the "Domains" section and click on the "Add your own domain" button and enter your domain. You can add another domain by clicking on the "Add another domain" button.

Step #2: Copy the CMS domain you'll find at "Website Domain (not editable)" to clipboard (CTRL+C or CMD+C) – you will need it in the next step.
Save the form by clicking "Save website".

Step #3: Now you have to go to your provider's dashboard/backend and add a CNAME DNS (Nameserver) record by pasting the domain from step #2 from clipboard (CTRL+V or CMD+V). Google published a documentation how to add a DNS record at the biggest providers – have a look: support.google.com.

Please notice that Nameserver changes will take up to 1 day until you see the desired result.

Can I use the Famobi Thumbnails on my personal website?

Sure! Feel free to use our Thumbnails for your existing website.
We provide the Thumbnails in our feed: api.famobi.com/feed (make sure to install a JSON view program) or local for your desktop pc at api.famobi.com/feed.csv
Thumbnail resolutions:
- 320x320
- 180x180
- 120x120
- 60x 60

I would like to use games in an iFrame - is there something to consider?

The use of iFrames is not a problem at all. We need to unlock the iFrame usage for you individually, though. So if you plan to show our games in an iFrame, just send us a quick mail to support@famobi.com and we will unlock it in no time.

I reviewed Famobi games and noticed a bug. What's next?

First of all: Keep calm! Next step: Drop us a short message at support@famobi.com ! Please report us as many information as possible: On which device, operating system and browser did you noticed the bug? If we need some more information regarding the bug, our team will contact you as soon as possible.

I published Famobi games via iFrame - Is it possible to prevent the redirection?

Yes! Go to http://games.famobi.com/ and choose your favorite games. There are two checkboxes located at the bottom of each game. Just deactivate the checkbox "Open game on mobile via redirect for better performance" and the redirection should be switched off on your portal.

How can I add my Google Analytics code to my website?

Just send your website ‎url or Affiliate ID and the Google Analytics Tracking ID to support@famobi.com and we will connect them.

'ads.txt' What is it and why do i need it?

Ads.txt stands for "Authorized Digital Sellers" and is a simple and secure method that publishers and distributors like Famobi can use, to publicly declare the companies they authorize to use their advertisement inventory.

Please add the folowing to your 'ads.txt' file for your website:
# Famobi
google.com, pub-2504503821144226, RESELLER, f08c47fec0942fa0

How can I add another website with the same Affiliate ID already in use?

Unfortunately, you can’t. Each website in your Famobi account needs to have its own Affiliate ID.

What is your subscription service?

It’s the easiest way to receive a ton of high-quality HTML5 games with almost no effort. You simply pick anything you like - whether it’s only one or hundreds of games - and pay a monthly fee accordingly.

Why is this subscription service so wonderful?

There are a few criteria responsible for that. For example, we host the games. Which means that you have no costs and efforts at all. We will update and bugfix all games on the fly, if necessary. And all games are ad-free, unless you want your own AdTags to be implemented. And since the games remain on our servers you will have access to our industry-leading realtime reporting. That’s only a handful out of many more reasons why our subscription is probably the most convenient way to get access to the best HTML5 games in the world.

Who uses your subscription service?

It is not limited to a certain type of business, but rather fitting for anyone who needs HTML5 games. We do not only work with gaming portals. In fact, gaming portals are only a very small portion of our huge partner network. It includes international companies such as Telecom Operators, TV stations, VAS companies, public transport, global suppliers, restaurants and many more.

What does it cost?

Prices depend on the amount of games. You might only pick one particular game, but you can also have them all. We will be happy to make you a personalized offering based on your needs. Please just write us a mail to sales@famobi.com

Is there a fixed contract period?

Usually the term of contract is 12 months and will not get renewed automatically. So you don’t have to cancel anything.

Can I exchange games during the contract period?

If the performance of certain games is not looking good, there is a possibility to replace those games once.
You can always upgrade your contract with more games, of course. Just ask us anytime and we will revise the contract immediately.

Can I host the games on my own servers?

The huge benefit of our games being hosted on Famobi servers is that they will receive all necessary updates or bugfixing on-the-fly. If a new phone or tablet is released or if web browsers receive updates, this might affect a game and have a negative influence on its performance. We update and optimize all games regularly to avoid such problems. We won’t be able to if we don’t host the games.
If you in any case want to host the games yourself, you have the option to buy our games.

How can I buy your games?

The easiest way is to take a look at our wonderful shop. From there you can simply put the desired games in your basket and contact us directly through the existing form.
If you’re not sure and need some games consultancy first, you can always reach us under sales@famobi.com. We will help you identifiying the perfect games for your audience and purpose.

What does a game cost?

It’s a little bit like with cars. If it is more premium, it will have a more premium price badge. All our games are high quality of course, but some are just that little more advanced, bigger, better looking or just overall more complex than others.
You can always look around in our exquisite little shop or write us a mail to sales@famobi.com and ask for your personalized offer.

Do I get the source code?

If you buy one of our games, you will receive the source code as well. It’s your game now.

How will I receive the games once I bought them?

We can upload them for you, send them via file transfer services or simply via email, if the file is small enough. Long story short: there are multiple ways and one of them will fit.

What is a reskin?

Many of our games are available for a reskin. This means we can change the whole appearance of the game, from single assets to the whole game. Characters, backgrounds, sounds - everything is possible. We can easily reskin a game to perfectly represent your brand, company, characters and more.

What does a reskin cost?

Prices depend on the game itself and the amount of assets that have to be exchanged. Of course it will be a lot cheaper if you just need a new splash screen compared to a total conversion of a game.
Take a look at our shop and see which games would be suitable for you. From there you can contact us directly via our inquiry form. If you like, you can contact us at sales@famobi.com as well.

How long does it take to reskin a game?

There is no universal answer to that. Just like the prices it is heavily dependent on the amount of changes you need and which game you choose. Of course we will give you a comprehensive cost report upfront to make it most transparent. Together we will formulate a detailed time schedule for the project.
